People usually hold their chopsticks with one hand and the bowl with the other. We don’t stick them in our rice bowls or play with them.

What other differences do you know about table manners in China and the UK
Further Thinking
Chinese people eat with chopsticks, while British people use knives and forks.
We often pick food for others to show kindness in China, but British people only eat their own food.
Elders take seats first at Chinese tables. British people sit more freely.
Chinese usually chat happily after meals, but British leave the table soon after eating.
