Every once in a while, you hear a story that truly amazes you. It makes you wonder and think. Here is a story that everyone is talking about. Someone in the city has been donating money to the Seniors' Home. But no one knows who he is.
Twenty years ago, when the first donation arrived, it seemed a bit different because it wasn't common to donate that much money—over one thousand yuan. The Seniors' Home office tried to contact the person who named himself Xiao Lei. But they found out that the address and the name provided did not exist. It seemed that this person simply wished to keep his donation quiet. Then a few months later, another anonymous (匿名的) donation arrived, sent from another post office. And then, another.
After many years of receiving the donations, the whole town was curious to discover the true identity (身份) of the person behind these acts of kindness. A journalist even wrote an article in the local newspaper with the headline: Where are you, Xiao Lei
The search continued for many months without result. In the end, the office received an anonymous phone call saying that the person only did what anyone should do, and requested not to look for him. On October 26, 2023, China launched (发射) the Shenzhou-17 spaceship from the Jiuquan Launch Center. This marked the beginning of another important mission (任务) in space for China.
