Last Friday, our school held a “Learning by Doing” project in the old cultural center. Instead of sitting in the classroom, we worked with several exchange students from abroad. The most interesting part was the exhibition. Some younger students passed by and stopped to read our work. 3 Their questions made us explain our ideas again and again. During this process, we acquired new expressions without simply memorizing them.
Of course, learning by doing also takes time. We made mistakes in spelling and grammar. 4 Each mistake helped us improve our poster. At the end of the project, our teacher said that the activity promoted both language learning and confidence.
Now I believe vocabulary learning should not stay only on paper. 5 If we connect words with real activities, they will become easier to remember and more useful in communication.

B. However, we were not afraid of them.
C. Learning by doing gives words a real life.
D. We should speak, write and create with the words we learn.
E. Some of them even asked us what the poems meant.
F. The teacher gave us a long list of words to copy.
