Ladies and gentlemen,
I’m Li Hua. I’m very glad to share my favourite book with you.
My favourite book is Journey to the West. It is one of the four Chinese literary classics. The writer is Wu Cheng’en, a great writer in ancient China. The story tells us about four main characters. They get over many difficulties on the way to the West. Finally, they make it. The Monkey King is my favourite character. He is so smart and brave that he can protect the other three characters well. He never gives up when he faces difficulties and challenges.
The book is so interesting that I lose myself in it. It tells me that as long as I never give up, I can achieve my goals.
That’s all. Thank you for your attention.

Dear Mary,
How is everything going Knowing that you are interested in the class meeting with the theme of “My Colourful Spare Time”, I’m glad and willing to tell you something about it. At the meeting, everyone expressed their own free-time hobbies. For example, Sun Yan enjoys playing the piano in his spare time. Guo Shuai likes drawing pictures with creation. As for me, I like playing ping-pong with my brother at weekends. We get fun from our hobbies.
It’s important to make full use of the spare time. We teenagers should make our own free time more meaningful. In my opinion, first of all, we’d better take up a good hobby in our spare time, such as tennis and dance, which brings us not only pleasure but also long-term benefits. What’s more, it’s better for us to volunteer some of our free time to do something meaningful and helpful. We can get a strong feeling of satisfaction and pride when seeing the joyful look on others’ faces.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Lin Li
