Every morning at 6:30, 16-year-old Chen Xi can be seen at the street corner in Hangzhou, handing out hot breakfast to the sanitation workers (环卫工人) with her volunteer team. She has been doing this volunteer work for two years.
It all started on a cold winter morning two years ago. Chen Xi saw a sanitation worker eating a cold steamed bun (馒头) on the side of the street, washing it down with cold water. The mystery (神秘的事) began as the twins looked around their new home—an old house with apple trees.
