Telling Chinese stories in English helps people around the world learn
about China’s rich culture and history. It builds a bridge between China and
other countries, and makes us feel proud of our heritage.
My favorite Chinese story is Yu Gong Moves the Mountains. Once upon a
time, an old man named Yu Gong lived near two big mountains. They made it
hard for his family to go out. Instead of moving away, Yu Gong decided to
move the mountains. He and his family dug stones day after day. A smart man
laughed at him, but Yu Gong said, “When I die, my sons will continue. Then
my grandsons. There is no end.” The gods were moved by his spirit and
helped him move the mountains away. This story teaches us that nothing is
impossible if we keep trying.
I believe every student should learn Chinese stories well and study English

Last Friday, students from Class 3, Grade 9 took part in a social practice
activity organized by the school. They visited the Sunshine Community Center
to help the elderly. The activity lasted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
When they arrived, the head of the center, Mrs. Li, showed them around.
First, the students cleaned the reading room and the garden. Then they taught
the elderly how to use smartphones. Many old people were very happy to

first important helper in our daily lives. It brings many advantages. First, AI can
work without getting tired, making it efficient in factories. Second, AI can
process huge amounts of data quickly, helping doctors spot diseases and
companies make smart decisions. Third, AI powers voice assistants like
self-driving cars, making tasks easier and safer.
However, AI also has its disadvantages. One major problem is that AI
lacks human emotions. It cannot understand feelings or build real
relationships with people, which is important in jobs like teaching. Another
disadvantage is the risk of job loss. Many workers may be replaced by AI
machines. Also, AI can be unfair if the data it learns from contains bias. This
may lead to unfair decisions, for example, when hiring people or giving loans.
In short, AI is powerful but not perfect. We must be careful.
