Leo decided to limit his screen time to only one hour each day. At first, it felt
strange not reaching for his tablet whenever he had free time. To fill the hours, he
rediscovered old hobbies — building intricate Lego castles, sketching superheroes,
and even helping his mom bake cookies. One afternoon, he joined his dad in the
garden, planting flowers and learning about different types of soil. To his surprise, he

found himself laughing more and feeling less restless. Though he still enjoyed his
hour of screen time, he began to see it as a treat rather than the main event of his day.
As the week came to an end, Leo had a lot to reflect on. Not only had he
completed the challenge, but he also realized how much he’d missed by staring at
screens. His family celebrated with a trip to the zoo, his chosen activity, where he
marveled at real-life animals he’d only seen in games. That night, as his mom tucked
him in, he whispered, “I think I like this ‘less screen time’ thing.” She smiled,
reminding him that balance was key — technology could be fun, but so could the
world beyond it. Leo fell asleep dreaming of his next adventure, this time offline.
