There are many wetlands in China and some of them have become one of the world’s most important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are among them. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are home to many animals. The world’s largest Milu Deer Nature Reserve is in them. Many Milu deer live freely there. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world, but you can see some in the Red-crowned Crane Nature Reserve in the Yellow Sea Wetlands.
The temperature in the wetlands is usually neither too high nor too low. There is a lot of rain and sunshine too. They are really great places for wildlife. Offering food and cover is not the only reason why we need to protect the wetlands. Wetlands are important because they also prevent floods. But some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms which lead to less and less space for wildlife.
Luckily, more and more people are beginning to realize that we should protect the wetlands as soon as possible. Every year, on February 2nd, people have many activities to tell other people more about wetlands.

13.Why are wetlands important besides (除……之外) offering food and home

Firstly, I want to say something about drinking. Now, you can’t buy wine (葡萄酒) in this country if you are under 18 years old, and your friends can’t buy it for you, either. Teenagers can have soft drinks.
Secondly, noise. Enjoy yourselves, but please don’t make noise, especially at night. You should respect other people who want to be quiet.
Thirdly, traffic (交通). Be careful when you cross (穿过) the road. People drive on the left side of the road in our country. Use the crossings (人行横道) for walking when you cross the road.
Fourthly, litter. Littering in public (公共的) places breaks the rules. When you have some litter, put it in a bin (垃圾桶), or put it in your pocket (口袋) and take it home.
