(1)[动词] 强迫;迫使
force sb. to do sth. 迫使某人做某事
sb. be forced to do sth. 某人被迫做某事
e.g. She forced herself to get up as soon as the alarm clock rang. 闹钟一响,她就强迫自己起床。
(2)[动词]用力推动,相当于push。
e.g. Firemen tried to enter the building, but were forced back by the flames.
