Learning Objectives
To use past continuous and simple past tenses to describe past events (such as actions during a natural disaster) and collaborate with group members to create a chain story by adding 1–2 sentences in turn.
To identify and discuss different natural disasters (including wildfires and snowstorms) and describe people’s actions before, during, and after such events using relevant vocabulary and expressions.
To reflect on the impacts of natural disasters and explain basic ways to prepare for and stay safe during bad weather or natural disasters.

What can you add for a chain story
Add details:Give different actions and dialogs to fifferent family members to make the story more lively.
Add feelings:Describe how the family feels with words like scared, worried, shocked,etc.
Add linking words:Use words like “when, while, so, because...” to let the story be fluent and logical.

“That’s wise!” my dad nodded briefly. “But we must leave this place immediately!”
