Recently, a low-budget domestic film Dear You has become an unexpected box-office hit in China. Made on a budget of only 14 million yuan and without famous stars, the film has earned more than 600 million yuan within 20 days of release. It has a high score of 9.1 on Douban, becoming one of the best-reviewed Chinese films in recent years.
What makes the film special is that about 95 percent of its dialogue is in the Chaoshan dialect, which is not widely understood across China. The story is based on the history of qiaopi — the letters and remittances sent home by overseas Chinese. In 2013, qiaopi documents were added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.
The film tells the story of Ye Shurou, an elderly Chaoshan woman who waits for letters from her husband, who goes to Southeast Asia to work. After her husband dies abroad, another woman called Xie Nanzhi writes to Ye and sends her money for nearly 20 years out of gratitude and responsibility. The film’s emotional power comes from “qingyi”, a traditional Chinese value that stresses kindness, duty and care for others.
Another key to the film’s success is its authenticity. Most performers in the film are non-professional actors, including an 84-year-old grandma and a college student. Their natural performances bring the story to life. Many experts believe that instead of relying on famous actors or expensive scenes, the film wins people’s hearts with its sincere storytelling and deep cultural meaning.
Experts say the success of Dear You shows that Chinese movie-goers are tired of unrealistic stories and prefer films with true feelings and cultural depth. It marks a return to sincerity and value in China’s film industry.

It was his fourth victory of the season, helping him rise to third in the riders’ standings with 122 points. Meanwhile, ZXMOTO also took third place in the manufacturers’ standings.

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
I had always dreamed of becoming a writer, just like Ernest Hemingway. Since boyhood, I had set this as my goal, and I even started keeping a journal, writing down every small story that came to my mind. My plan was clear: finish high school, study literature in college, then publish my own novel.
Everything was going well until my final year of high school. My English teacher, Ms Lee, told me that my writing was “just not good enough” to get into the top literature program I wanted. She suggested I give up my dream and choose a “practical” major, like business. Her words hit me hard. I locked myself in my room, staring at my journal filled with stories I had written, and doubted if I was ever meant to be a writer. I almost passed up the chance to apply for the writing competition Ms Lee had mentioned earlier, thinking I would never win anyway.
Then one night, as I was flipping through my journal, I found an old quote I had written down: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” I thought of Hemingway, who joined a newspaper right after high school to practice writing, and how Conan Doyle, who wanted to write historical novels, ended up becoming famous for Sherlock Holmes instead. Their paths to success were nothing like what they had planned.
要求:
续写两段,每段约 150 词。
Taking a deep breath, I decided not to put off the competition any longer. _______________________________________________________________________

第二节(满分25分)
范文:
Paragraph 1
I stayed up late every night, revising my story about a boy finding courage in a small town, adding vivid details from my own life. When I finished, I attached my writing samples to the application and sent it off, even though I still felt unsure. A month later, I received an email saying I had won third place. Ms Lee called me to her office, her eyes wide with surprise. “I had no idea you could write like this,” she said. Her words, once a weight on my heart, now felt like a gentle push forward.
Paragraph 2
I continued writing, sharing my stories online, and slowly built a small group of readers. Years later, my first short story collection was published, not as a grand novel I had once imagined, but as a collection of small, heartfelt tales. I learned that the path to success rarely turns out exactly as planned. What matters most is not the perfect plan, but taking action, being prepared for the unexpected, and never giving up on the dream that lights you up.
