I’ll always remember the first time I tried ballet. My mother was a dancer and I wanted to be like her, but after making many mistakes during my first class, I felt like I wanted to give up right away. However, because it was only my first day, I told my mum I couldn’t wait to dance again.
Several weeks passed and my dancing didn’t get any better. Then my dance teacher told us that we were going to perform in a show. I was afraid of falling on my face in front of hundreds of people and made my mum sad.
I practised hard for the show, but I still didn’t get the hang of it. Finally, I went to my mum to tell her how I felt. She just laughed and told me she would teach me all she knew about ballet. My mum quickly found out how bad at ballet I was, but she still taught me with the greatest patience, love and understanding. When I jumped and fell, she was there to catch me. When I lost my balance, she held me up. By the time the show arrived, I was as prepared as I could be.
The music began and my heart started to beat quickly. Breathing calmly, I began moving to the music without missing a step. When the music stopped, I ran off the stage and laughed with excitement.
My mum found me and gave me a huge hug, telling me how proud she was. I looked my mum in the eye and told her that there was no way this could have happened without her. Through this, I knew one important fact: My mum will always be there to catch me if I fall.

Nowadays, artificial intelligence(AI) tools like DeepSeek are becoming very popular. They bring big changes to our life, especially in learning and working.
DeepSeek has great technology. For example, its language models can answer lots of different questions well. In learning, students can use it to get more knowledge. When they have difficult problems in subjects like History, Maths or Science, they can ask DeepSeek for help. At work, it makes employees better at analyzing data. Marketers can use it to guess what will happen in the market, and writers can find ideas from it to write better things.
While DeepSeek gives us so much convenience, there are also problems. Some students depend too much on it and just copy the answers it gives. This is really wrong. In fact, with the development of AI, we need to focus more on developing our creativity. In the future, jobs that need people to do the same thing over and over again will be taken by AI. Only those who are really creative can do well. For example, in art design, designers should use their own ideas to make great works instead of just using what AI makes. In science, researchers need to think of new ideas to find out things we don’t know.
So, we should see AI as a useful tool, not something that does our thinking for us. We must work on developing our creativity by keeping learning and practising to get ready for the future.
8. How does DeepSeek help employees at work
A. It helps them copy the answers.
B. It helps them solve the problems.
C. It helps them guess what will happen next.
D. It helps them analyze data better.
9. What does the underlined word “This” in Paragraph 3 refer to
A. Using AI tools like DeepSeek to get knowledge.
B. Depending too much on AI and copying its answers.
C. Developing creativity with the help of AI.
D. Asking AI for help with difficult study problems.
10. Which sentence is NOT right according to the passage
A. AI is a useful tool, not something that does our thinking for us.
B. Designers should use their own ideas instead of just using what AI makes.
C. AI can do some things that need people to do over and over again.
D. In the future, all the jobs will be taken by AI.
11. What’s the structure of this passage (Paragraph 1=①...)

In a little fishing village in Southern Thailand, there are some boys who like to play football. They play with a lot of excitement and interest, running, shouting, jumping and kicking. These boys are really good at controlling the ball because their football field is a raft (木筏) in the middle of the sea. They live on Koh Panyee Island, where all the houses are built on tall wooden sticks. The village has 300 families, but even though it is small, the football team from the village has been very successful. The Panyee Football Club has won the Thai Youth Football Championships seven times since 2004.
The story of the Panyee Football Club began in 1986 when some young boys from the village were watching the World Cup Football Championships on TV. Suddenly one of the boys said, “We watch football on TV, but we’ve never played it.” The boys made a decision.
“Our football team starts today. We want to become world champions!” they shouted. But the villagers laughed at them. They asked, “Are you crazy Have you ever played football before You’ve already formed a team, but have you found a football field yet How can you practise ”
The boys made up their mind to make their dream come true. They used old fishing boats and pieces of wood to make a floating(漂浮的) football field. They practised for hours every day, even when it was very wet and smooth after a heavy rain. In their first year, they made it to the semifinals of the local football competition.
The story reminds us that anything is possible only if we set our mind to chase our dreams. The boys never gave up their dream, even when they faced many difficulties. Their hard work paid off, and they became champions.
