The Old Man and the Sea (1952) is a novella by the American author Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961). It tells the story of an old fisherman called Santiago and his struggle to catch a giant marlin. It won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1953. Hemingway also won the Nobel Prize in literature that year.

The Pulitzer Prizes are 23 annual awards given by Columbia University in New York City for achievements in the United States in journalism, arts, and writing.

My favourite book is The Little Prince. It was written in 1943 by the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This short but touching story quickly became popular around the world, and it is loved by both children and adults.

what is truly important in life. The most important lesson comes from the fox, who teaches the prince that "You become responsible forever for what you've tamed."
This book has taught me many things. It tells me that true love and friendship come from the heart, not from what you can see with your eyes. It also reminds me to keep a childlike heart and not lose myself in the busy, grown-up world. Even though I have read it many times, I still find new meanings in it. If you haven't read The Little Prince yet, I highly recommend it to you. It is a book that can change the way you see the world.

My favourite book is Journey to the West. It is one of the four Chinese literary classics. The writer is Wu Cheng’en, a great writer in ancient China. The story tells us about four main characters. They get over many difficulties on the way to the West. Finally, they make it. The Monkey King is my favourite character. He is so smart and brave that he can protect the other three characters well.
