When I was a teenager, I always thought my parents were too strict with me. They never let me stay out late on school nights, and they always asked me to finish my homework before watching TV or playing with friends. I felt upset and even talked back to them sometimes, thinking they didn't understand me at all.
One rainy afternoon, I got into a big fight with a classmate because he laughed at my bad grades. I was so angry that I ran out of the classroom and didn't want to go home. They didn't want me to waste time or make mistakes that I would regret for a long time. I realized how silly I had been before.
