I had a really good day today. Our class went on a school trip to an art museum.
We went there by bus. As soon as we arrived, I was excited to see so many wonderful artworks. We saw beautiful paintings and amazing sculptures(雕塑). The guide showed us around and told us interesting stories behind each piece. I listened carefully and took lots of notes.
I felt so excited during the whole trip. There were so many things that
caught my eyes. I was a bit tired at

This is our last night in China. We will fly home tomorrow. We did so much on this trip.
This afternoon, we went to watch the Beijing opera (京剧) for the first time. I loved the music and the colourful clothes.
Yesterday was a great day. In the afternoon, we went to the Great Wall. It was amazing! It is about 21,196 kilometres long and over 2, 000 years old. Then, in the evening, we went to the Bird’s Nest (鸟巢). It is only a few years old, but it is a very famous and beautiful building. The 2008 Olympics took place there. Danny searched for birds there. But of course—he didn’t find any because it isn’t a real nest!
China is a great country. We saw the Terracotta Army (兵马俑) in Xi’an and then the Yellow River in Yan’an before we went to Beijing.
It was a meaningful trip. I learnt so much about Chinese history from this trip. I also learnt about a new musical instrument—erhu. And I ate a lot of delicious food.
Our trip was over before I even realized. I like China. I will come back some day.
