You can put one of your fingers on the door, and the door opens. You can put one of your fingers on the smartphone, and the smartphone is unlocked. When you pay for something, you can touch the screen with one of your fingers, and it’ll be finished. How amazing! All of these depend on your fingerprints.
Do you know nobody has the same pattern of lines on their fingers Fingerprints are the lines formed by concave-convex (凹凸的) skin on the end of human fingers. They were already formed when we were born. They leave marks on the things we hold or touch. This happens because our skin produces oil and salt on our fingers. This mixture leaves prints on the things we touch.
In 1892, a police officer in Argentina discovered a fingerprint at a crime (犯罪) place. It was the first time that fingerprints had been used to find a criminal. This way began to be known and accepted. In the same year, a British man called Francis Galton wrote a book that showed all the ways fingerprints could be identified (鉴定). They are used by the police to identify fingerprints today. However, today the police can use lasers (激光) to help them find hidden fingerprints. Modern technology has also made police work much easier.

①A popular saying goes, “One person’s junk is another person’s treasure.” There certainly is some truth in it. Rather than using paint, ink or other traditional materials, many artists are turning to discarded (废弃的) materials to create their artwork.
②It’s a well-known fact that artists have been using discarded resources for a long time. One of the reasons for this is that some traditional art resources such as paint, clay and metal can be extremely expensive. Another reason is that some artists want to bring attention to the fact that people throw away a lot of perfectly useful items.
③Artists may seem avant-garde (前卫的) by using garbage as the materials for their artwork. For example, most people wouldn’t think that a plastic bag would have an artistic purpose. However, some artists have shown photos of breathtaking landscapes and ocean surfaces created using only plastic bags. And something called “auto-destructive art” is another example. The idea has existed since the 1960s. This means that an object doesn’t start out as art. It becomes beautiful as it breaks or becomes old and worn. If you have seen broken glass, you can understand this idea better.
④Some artists just want to create something that will make people think about important problems. One popular theme in art is the importance of reducing environmental waste. A few years ago, A large work of art called World of Litter received international attention. The artist, Peter Singer, created a huge globe that floated on water. It was bigger than some of the local boats! Singer created it by collecting hundreds of bottles and other forms of plastic waste.
⑤The discarded materials make beautiful artwork. Besides, they provide hope for the future by bringing about environmental awareness.
根据语篇内容,选择最佳选项。

A. An old famous painting that is kept in a museum.

It’s important to develop the healthy habits in your daily life. The following will help you become healthier and keep shape perfect.
Eat properly. A healthy diet is very important for everybody. Breakfast is the most important meal in a day. Doctors suggest that students’ breakfast should include fruit, eggs, milk, rice or noodles, because these can offer them necessary energy, help them listen carefully in class and keep them healthy. Eat enough for lunch and little for supper.
Keep off germs (病菌). Daily teeth cleaning reduces the amount of germs which will spread diseases. Germs in the mouth are likely to enter the blood and cause illness, even heart disease.
Exercise regularly. Regular exercise can improve your moods and balance. What’s more, it’s good for bones. There are many forms of exercise: walking or running for about 30 minutes a day, playing ball games twice or three times a week, swimming or dancing often.
