Siberian tigers (西伯利亚虎), also known as Amur tigers, mainly live in eastern Russia, Northeast China, and the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. At the beginning of the 20th century, Siberian tigers were widely found in Northeast China. However, the tigers disappeared from the area for different reasons in the 1970s. They are on China’s first-class protection list.
In order to protect Siberian tigers, China has been taking action. In Northeast China and Leopard National Park in Jilin and Heilongjiang Provinces, a high-tech system(高科技系统) has been used to provide real-time(实时的) protection for the plants and animals. The system has taken more than 4,000 pictures of Siberian tigers and Amur leopards, according to Hou Ling, director of the park’s office. Besides, some people would like to join the teams to protect wild tigers. Dong Hongyu, the 55-year-old from Heilongjiang, has been working to protect Siberian tigers for 22 years. Although it was difficult sometimes, this protector never thought about giving up.

Not only Siberian tigers but also many other kinds of endangered animals have been protected. Over the past tens of years, China has made great achievements in wildlife protection. One of the most successful examples is the giant panda. The population of the wild giant panda has grown from 1,114 in the 1970s to over 1,864 now.

As more and more people use bikes, they often put a bike bag on the bike to carry things. But what will they do with the bike bag when they finish their ride Not long ago, two 17-year-old high school students named Karl and Leander showed their special bike bag. When the bike ride is over, it’s very easy to turn the bike bag into a backpack and continue running with it on your back. It’s really cool and useful.
Riding a bike seems to be a trend both in cities and in the countryside. And there will be more innovations to make the ride enjoyable.

Seeing our school website is collecting English articles named “More Exercise, Better Health” , I am writing to share my opinion.
Nowadays, an increasing number of people are troubled by obesity. So we should pay great attention to our health. As a saying goes, an hour’s exercise a day makes a healthy life forever. In my opinion, doing exercise is important to improve our health. Each of us should take an active part in sports regularly. For us students, we are expected to run in the parks in the morning and take a walk with our family in the evening to make sure we work out enough. Besides, we should practice doing sports actively and call on more people to join us.
I do believe more exercise brings us better health.
