Have you ever felt the earth move How can you keep safe during an earthquake
All earthquakes send out waves (波). An earthquake can be so small that it can’t be felt while a stronger earthquake sends out bigger waves and can be felt for hundreds of miles. Strong earthquakes can harm people and animals. They can make everything in a mess. Once an earthquake starts, it may be too late to escape it. But there are steps you can take to stay safe.
When you stay inside, remember to drop, cover, and hold. First, drop to the floor. Second, cover yourself with your arms under strong furniture (家具). Third, hold on to something strong. Stay away from windows or things that could fall. Stay calm and help others do the same. When you stay outside, you should stay away from buildings, electric lines, and other things that can fall and find an open place to stay.
After an earthquake, have an adult turn off the gas and water. Pipes can crack (破裂) and let out harmful gases. Broken pipes can also make water unsafe to drink.
Be prepared for what happens after a big earthquake or any natural disaster. Put together a kit (成套设备) of things you may need. This kit needs to include water, food, and a first-aid kit. Now you understand how you can stay safe during an earthquake! Don’t forget to tell others.

Host: As we know, many children will get some lucky money during the Spring Festival. Should parents keep their children’s lucky money Or should the children keep their own lucky money Different children hold different opinions.
Group A: Lucky money should be kept by parents. Here are the reasons. First, children have less experience with money than their parents. They may spend it carelessly. Second, it’s difficult for young children to manage their money wisely. If they have too much lucky money, they may get into trouble, such as spending it on online games or falling into the habit of wasting money. Also, some bad people online may try to cheat them. Therefore, if parents help to manage the money, it can be put to better use. Group B: Children should keep their lucky money. I think children aged 9 or above should have the chance to manage their own lucky money. With their parents’ help, they can learn money management (管理) and become more independent. What’s more, money management is an important life skill. Children need to learn how to save and spend money wisely. It’s a good way for them to form sound financial (金融的) habits.

A 选项“所有孩子都应该自己保管压岁钱”,过于绝对,不符合文意;B选项“父母不关心孩子的钱”,与A组观点相悖;C选项 “只有 9 岁以下的学生能学习金钱管理”,文中提到 “children aged 9 or above should have the chance to manage their own lucky money”,并非说9岁以下不能学,表述错误; D选项“A组和B组对压岁钱有不同的看法”,符合文章内容。

后文the evening of that day是特指2025年1月2日的晚上,因此填On(首字母大写)。
主语是Some people(一些人),对应形容词性物主代词their(他们的)。

We can’t use a lift.
67.第二段提到“Accidents may happen when many people rush into a crowded stair.”,下楼时要避免摔倒是因为许多人匆忙冲上拥挤的楼梯时可能会发生事故,这样很危险。 Because accidents may happen when many people rush into a crowded stair./Because it may be very dangerous.

71.
Dear David,
Long time no see, David! Recently I have read an article about natural disasters. And I want to share my thoughts with you.
The disaster I fear most is the earthquake. It comes suddenly without any warning. The ground shakes violently, buildings fall down, and people may get trapped. I fear it for two reasons. First, it is almost impossible to predict. Second, it can destroy everything in seconds. I still remember news about a big earthquake that killed thousands and left many homeless. It made me realize how small we are in front of nature. We should learn to protect ourselves.
What about you Which disaster do you fear I’m looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hui
