定义(Definition):
1.动词–ing形式做定语(attributives)
单个动词–ing形式做定语,常置于被修饰词之前,有些动词–ing形式已转化成形容词,表示“令人……的”;动词–ing形式短语做定语,常置于被修饰词之后。
2.动词–ing形式做状语(adverbials)
动词–ing形式做状语,常表示原因、时间、伴随情况、条件等。
3.动词–ing形式做宾语补足语(object complements)
动词–ing形式做宾语补足语,常表示动作正在进行或持续进行。
