If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your textbook pictures come alive, you will love the new trend (趋势) called “textbook travel.” Many Chinese tourists are now taking their school textbooks to famous landmarks around the world, turning the pages into a fun, shared adventure.
It all started last November when Chinese travelers to Egypt began posting photos of their history textbooks. In the pictures, the book covers — printed with pyramids and the Sphinx (狮身人面像) — sat right next to the real ancient wonders.
Soon, others became more creative. They started hiding their books in small gaps (缝隙) between stones for other travelers to find. This lighthearted trend has become very popular. The topic has received hundreds of millions of views on Xiaohongshu, showing how much people enjoy it.
The craze (狂热) quickly spread to Europe. In the UK, some students hid their English textbooks near Big Ben, the famous clock tower. When other visitors found these books, they often wrote messages inside, sharing wishes for their families’ health, world peace, and more.
Similar book “treasure hunts” have appeared at Italy’s Colosseum (斗兽场) and France’s Louvre Museum (卢浮宫). One student who left her English book at the Louvre said the experience meant a lot to her. “Knowledge that used to just sit in my classroom has now become something real and unforgettable,” she explained.
Back home in China, a similar trend has taken root in recent years. More young people are traveling with their textbooks to famous sites across the country. This special way of traveling helps them connect more deeply with their own culture and history — and sometimes even brings unexpected rewards.

You may feel that math is hard and boring. Is it possible that you’ve been looking at math in the wrong way Actually, math can be beautiful and fun.
Numbers are beautiful
Many people today want to have beautiful looks. But there is math hidden in beautiful human bodies. Measure the length from your head to your belly button (肚脐眼) and from your belly button to your feet. The ratio (比例) of these two numbers is always around 0.618. This is the golden ratio, which can be seen everywhere, like in nature, music and paintings.
In Chinese poems, we can also see the beauty of numbers. As Li Bai wrote, “I’ve sailed a thousand miles through Gorges in a day”, “My skiff (轻舟) has left ten thousand mountains far away”. “A thousand miles in a day”, “ten thousand mountains”—all these numbers show how fast Li Bai traveled and how happy he felt. Numbers give us the freedom to imagine.
Curves (曲线) are beautiful
Sine (正弦) curves are beautiful. They go toward the two opposite directions on and on without ever ending. When you look at them, you may feel like standing by the sea and watching the waves slowly moving. The tangent (正切) curve is like a waterfall. That’s really “dashing down three thousand feet from on high”.

You may have not learned Euler’s formula(欧拉公式): eiπ+1=0. It’s beautiful too. The number “e” is an irrational number (无理数). Its digits (位数) go on forever without repeating. “π” is also such an irrational number. However, when these two numbers come together, they can turn into a natural number!
41. What happens if the ratio of a thing is around 0.618
A.It will look like a human body. B.It’s as long as a man’s belly button.
C.It may bring people a sense of beauty. D.It will turn into gold.
42. Why did Li Bai write the number in his poem
A.He was good at math problems.
B.He wanted to use numbers to show his feelings.
C.He liked to imagine his traveling through numbers.
D.He wanted to show the real distance and height in his poem.
43. What does a tangent curve look like
44. Which of the following can be put in “ ▲ ”
A.Formulas are beautiful B.“π” is lucky
C.Repeat the numbers D.The irrational number is difficult
45. What is the main purpose of the passage
A.To explain how to solve math problems.
B.To introduce the golden ratio to readers.
C.To compare Chinese poems with math formulas.
D.To show that math can be beautiful and fun.

It is very important to love ourselves. If we learn to love ourselves, we can keep healthy and stay happy all the time. It also helps us reduce stress from busy study. Here are my suggestions. First, we should make proper plans for study and daily life. Second, we need to learn to say “no” to things we don’t want to do. What’s more, we must eat healthy food and go to bed early every day.
Let’s learn to love ourselves and live a wonderful life.
