1.Language Knowledge: Identify and use vocabulary related to books (e.g., fantasy classic, magical world, prefer, favourite part, realize, grow up); use present perfect tense to talk about reading experiences (e.g., I've just finished…, I've never read it, I've always preferred…).
2.Reading Skills: Extract key information from a conversation to complete a table about a book (writer, genre, main character, main subject, favourite part).
3.Speaking Skills: Role-play the conversation; talk with a partner about a book they have both read, sharing their favourite parts.
4.Affective Objective: Encourage students to read books and share their reading experiences with others.

Key Point: Understanding the details of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland from the conversation and completing the table.
Difficult Point: Using the present perfect tense naturally in conversation about books (e.g., Have you ever read… I've read…, I've never read…).

Ask: "Has Peter read it What has he done " (He has watched the movie.) 3. Ask: "What does Peter think about reading the book vs. watching the movie " (He prefers the book to the movie.) 1. Skim and answer. 2. Share. Practice skimming.
3. Detailed Reading & Table Completion (10 mins) 1. Activity 3b: "Read again carefully. Complete the table with information from the conversation." 2. Draw the table on the board. Students work individually (4 min). 3. Pair check, then class check. Fill in the table on board: Writer: Lewis Carroll Type of novel: fantasy classic Main character: a girl (Alice) Main subject: growing up Favourite part: 1,Alice finds a tiny door 2,Alice drinks from a bottle 3,Alice realizes she has forgotten the key; cannot reach it 4,Alice eats a magic cake 5,Clarify any confusion. 1. Read and complete table. 2. Compare. 3. Share and copy. Extract specific details.
4. Listening & Pronunciation (5 mins) 1. Activity 3c (first part): "Listen to the conversation. Pay attention to intonation and how they show excitement about the book." 2. Play the audio once. 3. Play sentence by sentence for echo reading. Focus on: - I've just finished… - Have you ever read it - I've never read it, but I've watched the movie. - I've always preferred the book to the movie. - Do you remember when… 1. Listen. 2. Repeat. Improve pronunciation and intonation.
5. Role-Play (8 mins) 1. "Now practice the conversation in pairs. One is Fu Xing, the other is Peter." 2. Students practice (3 min). Then switch roles. 3. Invite 2-3 pairs to perform for the class. 1. Role-play. 2. Perform. Build fluency.
6. Extension: Talk About a Book You've Both Read (8 mins) 1. Activity 3c (second part): "Talk with a partner about a book you have both read. Share what you know about it." 2. Display model dialogue on board: A: Have you ever read Harry Potter B: Yes, I have. It's a fun story, isn't it A: Yes! Do you remember when Harry first goes to Hogwarts B: That's my favourite part! I also love the part where… A: I've always loved the characters. What about you 3. Students work in pairs. They choose a book they have both read (or both know). They ask and answer, sharing favourite parts. 4. Circulate and help. 5. Invite 2-3 pairs to share their conversation with the class. 1. Read model. 2. In pairs, discuss a book they both know. 3. Perform. Practice speaking naturally about books.
7. Wrap-up & Homework (4 mins) 1. Summary: "Today we read a conversation about Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. We learned how to talk about a book we've both read. Remember: reading books and sharing them with friends makes reading more fun!" 1. Listen. Consolidate and differentiate.
