One possible version
Last month, I spent all my pocket money on a limited-edition toy. It was expensive, and I already had many similar toys at home.
I bought it because I thought it was cool and all my friends wanted one too. But after a week, I lost interest in it.
From this experience, I learned that I should think carefully before buying things. I should tell my needs from my wants and spend my money wisely.
Must do:
Write an 80-word passage about an experience of spending money and share it with your classmates.
Tips:
What did you (want to) buy
Was it reasonable or not
What did you learn from it
Homework
Choose to do:
Work in groups to write a “Spend money wisely” report, then present it to your class.
