背景提示:吉尼斯世界纪录的起源
吉尼斯世界纪录起源于英国。1951年,当时吉尼斯啤酒厂的总经理休·比弗爵士正在参加一个狩猎聚会。他和聚会的主人就“欧洲哪种猎鸟飞得最快 ”的问题产生了争论,他翻遍了所有的参考书都没有找到答案。1954年,休·比弗爵士回想起当年的争论,产生了创立吉尼斯世界纪录品牌的想法,并邀请孪生兄弟诺里斯·麦克沃特和罗斯·麦克沃特共同撰写一本记录事实和数据的书籍。同年11月,“吉尼斯世界之最”公司诞生了。次年,第一本《吉尼斯世界纪录大全》出版。
