In China, when it comes to traditional clothing, Hanfu and Qipao are the most popular. Hanfu was first created
by the Han people. Its color, style and even the length are about Chinese culture. Hanfu first appeared in the Shang
Dynasty over 3,000 years ago. It was popular for a long time in Chinese history, from the Qin Dynasty to the Ming
Dynasty. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, however, it lost its popularity. With people turning their interest to
traditional culture, Hanfu has been enjoyed more greatly in recent years.
Qipao became popular in the 1920s and remained the “national clothing” until the 1950s. At first, people made
it wide, covering most parts of the body. Yet it was not beautiful and people wanted a more beautiful kind of
clothing. So in the 1930s, people made the traditional Qipao tight to show the beauty of a woman’s body. Now, lots
of women still like to wear it.
The Chinese tunic suit (中山装) looked simple but good, so it quickly became popular among Chinese men in
the mid-20th century. Although other kinds of clothing have taken its place now, leaders of China still wear it for
important events.

About 80% of the land animals make homes in the forest. But their homes are disappearing(消失) all over the
第 5页/共 11页
world. In the last 10,000years, we’ve lost 30% of all trees that were once on the earth. That’s bad news for animals

●Don’t take rocks, flowers and leaves from the forest floor which might provide homes for small animals.
●Don’t destroy the animals’ homes and habitats.
Huge and beautiful forests where a great variety of animals make homes are ready for us to explore. Whenever
you have a chance to get close to nature, make wise choices and take the advice mentioned above to protect homes
for our dearest friends.

Cheng Feng is a teacher. However, to many of her students, the 33-year-old teacher is more than that. Cheng’s
care for her students has made her “a mother” to them.
Over the past few years, Cheng has gone into the mountains and worked in several poor schools in Poyang to

After arriving there, she learned that because of the poor educational conditions, many local parents had sent
their children to schools further away. Cheng tried her best to encourage seventeen students to return. She called
upon her college classmates to offer a helping hand. To make the students’ lives more colorful, Cheng learned
