资源简介

Festivals are celebrated for different reasons. Dragon Boat Festival is held in honour of a great Chinese poet Qu Yuan while Freedom Day celebrates a political event 1. everyone in South Africa was allowed to vote regardless of races. This event indicates the end of inequality in this country. Thanksgiving is an occasion to express gratitude for a good harvest while the Spring Festival is regarded 2. a time to wave goodbye to the old year and embrace the new one.
The festival I love most is the Lantern Festival. It falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month. On the eve, all the buildings 3. (decorate) with lanterns. Fireworks go off everywhere. There is 4. (normal) a riddle competition, which attracts both adults and kids to participate. Young girls, wearing fancy dress, have a date with the guys that they love. The whole town is enveloped in the 5. (joy) atmosphere. The romance 6. (exist) in the Lantern Festival has aroused the limitless fantasy of Chinese poets and writers, who have regularly written literature works 7. (relate) to the Lantern Festival.
With the social development, many festivals are becoming global. For example, the Spring Festival celebrations are not just shared by overseas citizens but by other 8. (nationality). The phenomenon may cause the 9. (lose) of tradition to some extent, 10. I have to admit that however people celebrate the festival, the spirit of sharing joy, love and peace will never change.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, commonly known as Coachella, is one of the largest and most famous music festivals in the United States. It started in 1999 and since 2001, it’s been held every April (Weekend 1 and Weekend 2) in the desert of Indio, California. Organized by Goldenvoice, the festival attracts over 100,000 visitors each weekend.
Tickets
Prices start at $549 for a three-day general admission pass. VIP passes cost around $1,069. Fans must purchase them early on the official website or through trusted resale platforms like StubHub. Camping options, such as car camping (starting at $160) or tent camping (starting at $160), are popular with those who want to stay close to the festival grounds.
Key Features
Music and Art: Coachella hosts over 100 artists across multiple stages, including global stars like BLACKPINK, Billie Eilish and Frank Ocean. It showcases interactive facilities.

The traditional Chinese sport of dragon boat racing has swept across Latin America over the last decade. Popular with sports enthusiasts and amateurs, it has spread from one country to another. The vigorous sport requires 22 people to work together as one unit. They have to learn to be a complete crew and understand it’s necessary to work together, for the common good.
As a competitive event, it has quickly attracted enthusiastic paddlers looking to stay fit. But somewhat unexpectedly it has also attracted enthusiasts who have discovered its significant healing benefits. This is particularly true among women recovering from breast cancer.
While team training is demanding, dragon boat groups have helped breast cancer survivors thrive—overcoming not just cancer, but any doubts about their capabilities on the water. This was the goal of Floribeth Campos de Finizio, president of Pink Warriors Panama, when she started the dragon boat team with 14 members five years ago.
Originally setting out to inspire survivors to “move forward after cancer”, Pink Warriors Panama has grown to a 40-member team. “Many of the women who row today had never done sports before, so this is a great achievement for a group like ours,” Floribeth Campos de Finizio said. “We are incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved. We proved that it’s possible to become athletes after cancer.”
A growing pool of academic research has shown that dragon boat racing can make a significant difference in helping survivors who have undergone breast cancer treatment or surgery to recover. Research pioneered by Don McKenzie at Canada’s University of British Columbia in 1996 found paddling helps cancer survivors avoid painful swelling caused by the tumour removal.
Inspired by McKenzie’s work and subsequent research, “pink boat” events have sprouted across Latin America. Teams promote the fitness and team-building benefits of joining a dragon boat team while spreading the word about its health benefits.

A.They trained excellent athletes.
B.She takes pride in her teammates.
C.They showed their sportsmanship.
D.She cares about her partners’ health.

This was the goal of Floribeth Campos de Finizio, president of Pink Warriors

Originally setting out to inspire survivors to “move forward after cancer”, Pink Warriors Panama has grown to a 40-member team. “Many of the women who row today had never done sports before, so this is a great achievement for a group like ours,” Floribeth Campos de Finizio said. “We are incredibly proud of everything we've achieved. We proved that it's possible to become athletes after cancer.”

A growing pool of academic research has shown that dragon boat racing can make a significant difference in helping survivors who have undergone breast cancer treatment or surgery to recover. Research pioneered by Don McKenzie at Canada's University of British Columbia in 1996 found paddling helps cancer survivors avoid painful swelling caused by the tumour removal.
Inspired by McKenzie's work and subsequent research, “pink boat” events have sprouted across Latin America. Teams promote the fitness and team-building benefits of joining a dragon boat team
