Bananas are one of the most popular and convenient fruits in our daily life, especially loved by middle school students as a quick snack. You may have clearly noticed that fresh, bright yellow bananas slowly turn dark brown or even black, and become much softer after being placed on the table for a few days. Many people regard this as a sign that bananas go bad, but in fact, it is a completely natural biological and chemical change process of fruits.
Inside every banana, there is a special active substance called enzyme(酶). When the banana continues to ripen after being picked, or its skin gets slightly pressed and hurt, the enzyme inside will quickly contact and react with oxygen in the air. This slow chemical reaction will produce some dark-colored substances on the banana peel, which makes the peel change from yellow to brown little by little. At the same time, the starch stored inside the banana flesh will gradually turn into soluble sugar. That is why overripe bananas taste sweeter than fresh ones, while their flesh turns soft and mushy.
Many people choose to put bananas in the refrigerator to keep them fresh, thinking low temperature can stop them from turning black. However, cold environment can only slow down the chemical reaction, but cannot stop it completely. What's worse, the cold air in the fridge may damage the banana's cells, making the fruit turn black faster and lose its good taste after being taken out. The best way to keep bananas fresh is to place them in a cool, dry and air y place, away from direct sunlight and other ripe fruits.

Many movie fans wonder,“How are movies made ” Actually, the process of making a movie begins long before the cameras started rolling.
36 Many writers, actors, and directors carry notebooks to write down ideas that come to them during the day. The best ideas grow in their minds until they' re big enough to become a film.
When an idea has fully grown for some time, it is written into a script. It breaks up the story into scenes and lays out the actions and dialogues for the characters in the story. 37
Then it is time to make a storyboard. It helps writers and directors decide what the movie will look like. Many people draw storyboards by hand.
Is it time to film yet Not quite! 38 Before filming, movie makers must find the right people to make a movie. And for big movies, they might need hundreds or even thousands of people.
After everything is in place, it's time to get the cameras rolling. Everyone taking part in the film travels to the shooting spots. 39 After filming, the job continues. Editors put different video clips together and then add music and anything else needed to complete the film. When they' re done, the movie is finally ready for the big screen.
