When I was a child, my family had a lot of rules, such as house rules and out-in-public rules. But they were all good rules, like “Don’t run in the house”. How I wish I had listened to that rule! I could remember that on a Saturday night, I was hurt badly and was taken to the hospital. I had a scar (伤疤) on my leg and it didn’t disappear although 17 years had passed.
My parents were very strict. I hated that when I was young. But now I really thank them for their rules. Their rules have made me become a graceful (优雅的) lady.
Now, my husband and I are thinking about having our family rules. In fact, we have had some rules. For example, we don’t go to bed at night with unresolved conflict (未解决的矛盾). I really like this rule, although sometimes we have to stay up late because of that.
When thinking about our family rules, we want to make it fun to follow the rules. Instead of “don’ts”, we come up with a lot of “dos”, such as “share freely”, “tell the truth” and “put others before yourself”. Today, anyone can create images (图像) with the help of AI tools. It seems like these images grow even more realistic with each passing day. “But don’t worry,” says Lyu, a computer scientist. Lyu and a group of researchers have offered some advice about how to find out whether or not an image is real.
What you need to do is to look carefully. On social media (媒体), it takes you as little as 13 milliseconds to look through a picture. That may be enough to notice what it is, but not enough to think about whether or not it’s real. When you take more time to look, what you find may surprise you.
AI programs create images by looking at a great number of real ones. These programs only know what they’ve been given. They don’t know what details (细节) to pay attention to. You can easily find the problems.
If there’s a person in an image, Lyu suggests looking at hands and eyes. AI programs aren’t good at producing lifelike hands. They may have six fingers, or fingers that are of the same length (长度). And why should you look at eyes Humans almost always have circular pupils (圆形瞳孔), but AI often produces strangely shaped pupils.
Many AI-created images are not so natural. Straight things may become curved in the images.
You can start looking out for AI-created images today. Check it first before you believe anything you see!
26.What can Lyu and his research group offer
A.Some AI tools to create images.
B.Advice on how to tell real images from AI-created ones.
C.A way to make AI-created images more realistic.
D.Tips on using social media to find real images.
27.Why does Lyu suggest looking at hands and eyes if there’s a person in an image
A.Because AI programs are good at producing lifelike hands and eyes.
B.Because humans always have six fingers and strangely shaped pupils.
C.Because AI programs often make mistakes in producing hands and eyes.
D.Because hands and eyes are the most important parts of a person.
28.What does the underlined word “curved” mean in Chinese
A.弯曲的 B.平坦的 C.开阔的 D.高深的
29.Which is the right structure of the passage (① = paragraph 1 ② = paragraph 2… )
A.① / ②③④⑤⑥ B.①② / ③ / ④⑤⑥
C.① / ②③④⑤ / ⑥ D.① / ② / ③④⑤⑥
30.What’s the writer’s purpose in writing the passage
A.To encourage people to create images with AI tools.
B.To express his worries about people’s use of AI tools.
C.To discuss the importance of creating images with AI tools.
D.To explain how to find out an image is real or not.

Many people think of pets as members of their family. When traveling for work or vacation, they often want to bring their pets along. In the past, pets had to travel in the cargo hold (货仓), a space below where the people sit. Recently, more airlines allow small pets like cats and dogs to travel with their owners in the cabin (客舱), as long as the pets are in cages (笼子). However, some people may feel uncomfortable around pets. So, should pets be allowed to fly on planes
Yes — They Bring Joy
Pets can get stressed in the cargo hold, away from their owners. It’s also stressful for owners to leave their pets behind. Allowing pets in the cabin is good because they don’t take up much space, and owners can care for them during the flight. This also saves money since owners won’t need to use a kennel (狗窝). Pets can also make passengers and flight staff happy.
No — People Should Come First
Airplanes are not designed for pets. The noise on the plane may make pets uneasy. If an owner opens the carrier, the pet could escape and cause trouble. Also, some passengers may be afraid of pets, so it’s difficult to make them share the space with animals.
Pets may feel 46 in the cargo hold if they leave away from their owners. (仅填1词)

范文:
What I Think of Kindness
I think kindness is important to people and society. To me, kindness means being friendly, helpful and understanding to others.
We should treat others well in different ways. To our parents, we can help with housework and speak politely. To our classmates, we can share things and offer support when they are in trouble. To strangers, a warm smile or a small act of care can make a big difference.
My wish is that everyone can practice kindness in daily life. If we all do so, the world will be full of warmth and happiness.
