Hello, everyone. My name is Jenny. I am a 14-year-old middle school student. Three months ago, I always got bad headaches because I had too much study stress. My parents took me to the hospital, and the doctor gave me a useful suggestion. He told me to find a hobby to relax after a busy day of studying, because all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
I thought about many different activities. I tried collecting coins and practicing yoga, but I didn’t really love any of them. Then one day, I found an old poem book my grandma left me. I started reading the poems and decided to try writing my own poems. That was perfect for me!
Now I write a short poem every day after I finish my homework. I just write about what I see and how I feel. It helps me slow down and relax my mind. Now I don’t have headaches anymore, and I can study much better than before. Writing poems gives me a lot of joy and a great sense of achievement.
