I’m writing to reply to your letter asking about the environmental actions of Chinese students. I’ve recently carried out a survey among my classmates to collect information on their green living habits, from which we can get a clear picture of teenagers’ environmental awareness nowadays.
According to the survey result, 30% of my classmates develop a habit of sorting daily waste. Half of the students prefer to cycle as their daily travel choice instead of taking cars, while the remaining 20% stick to saving water in daily life. We feel glad that lots of students have developed these good green habits.
Every small deed counts greatly in environmental protection. Waste sorting makes resource recycling possible and reduces rubbish pollution. Cycling effectively cuts down vehicle exhaust to purify the air. Besides, saving water helps preserve our limited fresh water resources. These eco-friendly practices benefit not only us at present but also future generations. Only by keeping these good habits can we build an eco-friendly and sustainable world. So we should keep doing small green things all the time.
