Many students have problems with vocabulary when preparing for tests. Here is some advice on how to memorize new words.
Repeated encounters (反复遇见). The usual way of memorizing new words is through repeating them while they're still in your mind. However, it doesn't seem to be useful. But the following way is helpful: repeated encounters. We can memorize words more easily if we've met them at least seven times in our reading. So, read English magazines and newspapers from time to time.
Spacing (间隔) and review. It's necessary to make a plan of your memory work over a period of time. You'd better memorize words day by day instead of doing it in a single day.
Use it or lose it. Putting words to use in interesting ways helps add them to your long term memory. In a study of vocabulary learning, students who made up their own sentences with new words memorized them better than those who learned the words separately and silently.
Mix it up. Try watching videos (视频) from English speaking countries and copying the way they speak. You can even upload (上传) your own videos and try becoming a star yourself.

Not long ago, a photo of the football players in my college showed up on my phone as a “memory”, which was kept through the digital memory (数字记忆). I was surprised to see the photo at first and sweet memories flashed into my mind.
In the photo, the players from the football team hugged together in excitement after they won the game. At that time, I took a photo of them with my phone. It recorded the friendship and the happiness. Then, I fell into the habit of taking photos of everything. More and more photos filled my phone so I almost forgot this photo. Thanks to the digital memory, I could enjoy the happy time again.
People needed to make an effort to record things in the past. But now we can do something like that easily through the digital memory. We put what we want to remember into our smartphones. Most of the photos that I have kept on my phones—and in the cloud now—bring happy memories back to me.
However, not all the digital memories are happy. Some are sad. When I see the photos of my lost pet, I am worried. Because they make me recall something I want to forget. Usually, digital memories are sent to me non stop and without any human like feelings. That drives me crazy.
It's hard to say clearly when the digital memory started madly. These digital memories, whether happy or sad, break into our lives. In my job as a reporter, I have spent the past five years taking different photos. They will always be there, whatever.
62. How did the writer feel when he saw the photo at first

D.To explain the digital memory is very easy to use.
D
Are you good at remembering what you've learned at school Is it an easy process for all people No one's memory is perfect. Even the smartest people forget things. This does not mean a person has a bad memory. It means he is not using his mind to his advantages.
The brain has short term memory and long term memory. The skill for remembering is moving information from short term memory to long term memory. No one knows exactly how this happens. But one thing is for sure—practising, or making repetition of information, is one of the most popular methods of remembering. And scientists say that long term memory will never fill up completely with memories in one's lifetime.
Then why do we forget things Forgetting things that are not important helps our brain to remember things that are important. Our brain is always “cleaning out” useless information to make room for something more useful.
If you are interested in improving your memory, there are lots of simple things you can do, like eating healthily, sleeping well and exercising daily. Besides, it's also important to challenge your brain. You can play mind games, learn a musical instrument or study a new language. All you need to do is keep your brain healthy and active.
66. How does the writer begin the passage
A.By listing numbers.
B.By comparing facts.
C.By asking questions.
D.By giving examples.
67. What is one of the most popular ways to remember information according to the passage
A.Listening or writing.
B.Practising or asking.
C.Listening or speaking.
D.Practising or repeating.
68.(高阶思维·主旨大意) The last paragraph mainly talks about ____.
A.the ways to eat healthily
B.the ways to improve our memory
C.the reasons for playing mind games
D.the reasons for studying a new language
E
New research from Tohoku University shows that wasabi (芥末) is good for people's memory. Wasabi is something that people usually eat in Japanese dishes. It is made from the wasabi plant, and has always become popular on Japanese menus.
For further information, a recent study tested people between the ages of sixty and eighty. Some of them took a wasabi extract (提取物) every night before going to bed, while the other testers didn't. After three months, the people who took the wasabi extract did much better in short term and long term memory tests, with scores jumping an average of 18%. However, the other people did not show any improvement.
Scientists already know that wasabi has something different called 6 MSITC. It is infrequent in other plants. The researchers think that 6 MSITC might do good to the hippocampus, the area that works for memory. Scientists say they will do more research, hoping to help people with memory problems.
Wasabi not only improves the taste of dishes and people's memory, but 6 MSITC in wasabi can also help to keep us away from getting ill and offer many other good things to our health as well.
The new research seems to be good news for sushi eaters. However, most wasabi in Japan is not real wasabi. Real wasabi is difficult to grow. The plant takes nearly two years to grow up and needs strict temperature, proper sunlight etc., and, as a result, wasabi is very expensive.
69. Which country is wasabi popular in
A.China. B.Japan.
C.Canada. D.America.
70. What is Paragraph 2 mainly about
A.Who took part in the test.
B.How long the research lasted.
C.Why people took the test.
D.How scientists carried out the study.
71. What does the underlined word “infrequent” in Paragraph 3 most probably mean
A.Unusual to see. B.Easy to find.
C.Cheap to extract. D.Expensive to buy.
72.(新考法·后续推断)What will the writer most probably talk about next
A.The way people eat wasabi in Japan.
B.The reason why wasabi is hard to get.
C.The places where real wasabi plants grow.
D.The health problems that wasabi can solve.
