Light Pollution Affects Birds' Sleep Birds are famous for waking up early.But a new study finds light pollution makes them wake even earlier and sleep later—losing about 50 minutes of sleep each night.
Brent Pease，a teacher from Southern Illinois University，tried a special device （装置） called PUC，made by BirdWeather.It records bird songs，uses AI to identify birds，and collects time，location and weather data.BirdWeather gets information from PUCs worldwide，with over 1.4 billion bird songs detected （检测到）.Researchers used this data to study light pollution's effect on birds.
