When the emperor heard the boy, he felt very embarrassed. His face turned red. The two brothers tried to run away, but the guards caught them at once. The emperor knew he'd been stupid. He said sorry to his people and told his officials to be honest.
After that, the emperor changed. He didn't care only about new clothes anymore. He started to work hard for his people. The people were glad to see this. And this story taught everyone to be honest.
The emperor shouted angrily, “Catch that boy!”The officials started to run to catch the boy. But the people in the street stood up and protected the boy. They shouted, “The boy is right! You believed those liars because you only care about your looks!”

Du Xi often advised Min Huai, the son of the king, not to do silly things. Min Huai wasn’t thankful to Du Xi. He hated Du Xi, instead. He thought Du Xi often didn’t praise him at all. Then he decided to punish (惩罚) Du Xi.
One day, Min ordered his servants to put some needles (针) into a cushion (坐垫). Then he asked Du Xi to sit on the cushion. Du Xi didn’t know anything about the needles. As a result, he was badly hurt by the needles.
The next day, Min Huai asked Du Xi what happened. Du Xi answered, “I’ve been drunk, and don’t remember anything.” Min Huai added, “How come you also do silly things ” Du Xi didn’t know how to reply. He wanted to leave, but he couldn’t. He had a terrible feeling, just like sitting on the cushion with needles inside.
