There are many kinds of amazing animals in the world. Have you ever watched one of them—Canada geese They can teach us a lesson about teamwork.
In autumn, Canada geese have to fly to the warm south to get away from Canada’s cold winter. When they leave the ground and rise into the air, they fly in no order. Then they quickly form a V shape, with one bird leading the group. The V shape allows Canada geese to save energy. The head bird moves its wings up and down. The resulting force of the air helps lift the next bird. Each bird will do so until they get to the southern part. The bird at the head of the group has the hardest job. When it gets tired, another bird moves to the front and takes its place. By sharing this job, the group can travel great distances.
Canada geese flying in a V shape can fly seventy percent farther without having a rest than the birds flying alone. During the long flying journey, Canada geese communicate with one another. They honk to encourage the birds up front to keep up the speed. They also cheer one another up while working toward the same destination.
What have we learned from the lovely Canada geese’s experience and skills Work together! Whether in our personal lives or our jobs, we need the spirit of teamwork!

①When I was a kid, there were no supermarkets. People went to wet markets to buy fruits, vegetables, and seafood. They picked what they wanted from different shelves, paid for it, and carried it home in a basket. These markets were often dirty and noisy.
②Supermarkets are much cleaner. They also provide a more convenient shopping experience. I still remember my first trip to a supermarket. I brought my bamboo basket along but quickly realised it was unnecessary. The supermarket provided free plastic bags at the cashier desk.
③Today, supermarkets no longer offer free plastic bags. But you can still see plenty of plastic in the food parts. In most stores, fruits and vegetables are ready-packed. Sitting in clean plastic boxes, they look fresh and nice as they line the shelves.
④These plastic boxes have got me thinking. Every time I return from Freshippo, I take out my fruits and vegetables and throw the boxes away. These boxes can be reused. But because they take up a lot of space and because fruits and vegetables always come in new boxes, many of us throw them away after just one use. Even if we put them in the waste box, they need to be cleaned and carefully processed (处理). This needs a lot of energy.
⑤Since we don’t pay more for these boxes, most of us don’t think much about them. Earlier this year, Freshippo began to ask for money, 1 yuan for each plastic bag used for delivery. It may encourage shoppers to use their bags again, but since they have to pay for a bag with every online order, they just end up with more plastic bags.
⑥Perhaps modern supermarkets can learn from the wet markets of the old days and encourage the use of baskets. At the same time, I’m hoping for new forms of bags or boxes that are easier to use again.
⑦Could you be the one to invent something like this
12.Why did the writer mention the old wet market
A.To compare it with today’s supermarket.
B.To tell readers how to shop in wet markets.
C.To explain why supermarkets are noisy and dirty.
D.To show wet markets are better than supermarkets.
13.What is Paragraph 4 mainly talking about
A.How to save space when storing plastic boxes.
B.The importance of plastic boxes before being processed.
C.Different kinds of plastic boxes used by Freshippo.
D.The waste problem of plastic boxes from Freshippo.
14.What does the underlined word “It” refer to in Paragraph 5
A.Paying more money for what to buy.
B.Using plastic bags again and again.
C.Throwing away plastic boxes that are used.
D.Asking for 1 yuan for each delivery plastic bag.
15.What is the best title of the passage
A.Business in Old Wet Markets B.Changes in Shopping Ways
C.Plastic Waste from Modern Shopping D.The Price of Plastic Bags
