Growing up means many changes, and my life has changed a lot since I was in primary school. Three of these changes have shaped me into who I am today.
First, neighbourhood is totally different. I used to live in a quiet old community with a small park. Now I live in a lively new neighbourhood. There is a big library and a sports center nearby, so I can read books or play basketball with my friends easily after school.

Great Changes in My Hometown
What strikes me most is that great changes have taken place in my hometown in recent years. In the past, most people lived in small and old houses with poor conditions. But now it’s common for people to live in modern high buildings or comfortable apartments.
When it comes to the environment, it was terrible, with the rivers seriously polluted. However, with the government’s support, the situation has become better. The once-polluted rivers are now clear again. The streets have become wide and clean, and both sides of the roads are covered with trees and flowers.
As for the traffic, it used to be very inconvenient for people to go out. But now it’s more convenient for us to travel to other places. It’s clear that people are living a better life.
I’m really happy with these great changes. I hope my hometown will become more and more beautiful in the future.
