How to save money to visit Shanghai Disneyland
The “happiest place on earth” is a top destination on many families’ bucket lists. But taking a vacation to Disney World can be difficult to do on a budget. There are some tips that you can make to reduce the cost of your Disney World vacation.
1. Buy Souvenirs in Advance
Disney has influenced practically every industry, which makes it easy to find Disney items anywhere, from Walmart, Target, and your local grocery store to department stores and Amazon. You can save a lot of money by buying items before your trip at these less-expensive places than at Disneyland.
2. Make an Autograph Book (签名册)
An autograph book is seen as a must-have by many Disneyland enthusiasts and is a memory you can take home with you. These books can cost anywhere from $7.95 to $19.95 at the Disney Store and up to $30 for the latest-and-greatest autograph book at Disneyland, such as the park’s 60th anniversary edition. Other choices can get the job done for under $5. For example, you can buy a small photo album, cute pads or notebooks.
3. Eat Breakfast before You Arrive
Breakfast is almost as expensive as lunch or dinner if you eat inside the Disneyland parks. If you have a hotel with a free breakfast, take advantage of it. If you want to eat out, eat at a local restaurant that is inexpensive or has a kids’ menu, such as McDonald’s which is close to the park.
4. Take Advantage of Discounts Offered to Special Groups
Disney offers a wide variety of discounts, including for military service members, college students, teachers, and youth groups. If you think you might qualify for a special discount or group rate, call the Disneyland Resort to book tickets.

The Civilian Mobile Library offers books for free. Readers are invited to take one book every 15 days. They are encouraged to pass it on to someone else once they’ve finished reading. And they are not expected to return the book.
The library is just seven square meters in size but houses thousands of books on different subjects. “It might be the smallest library in the world,” said Xu Dawei, the owner. “But in another sense, it’s also the biggest because the books keep moving. Once, a reader took a book on Chinese garden history. After finishing it, the reader passed it to a neighbor. The neighbor then took it to Germany!”
“I’ve read thousands of books,” Xu said. “Books have truly changed my life.” The idea of starting a library took shape in 2010, when Xu recommended (推荐) online a list of his favorite books to university students, but many of them said they couldn’t find those books in their school libraries or local bookstores. So he began sending his books to readers for free. “They all wrote me letters expressing their thanks. It inspired me to take it further, turning my book-gifting into a physical space,” Xu said.
“All the readers have to do is come. Even if they finish a book and decide not to pass it on, at least the book benefited (使受益) one person and perhaps their family, helping them fall in love with reading,” Xu said. “And this is my dream.”
28. Why did Xu Dawei mention the reader in Paragraph 2
A.To ask for some help.
B.To compare two ideas.
C.To recommend a book.

“The real question is not whether machines think but whether men do,” American psychologist BF Skinner once said. And as AI continues to become more popular, many people might be worried about whether people are really thinking at all anymore — and that includes students.
Oxford University Press surveyed 2,000 students aged 13 to 18 all over the UK. It found that about 80% of students in the UK already use AI for schoolwork. However, not all students are necessarily happy about their use of AI. More than 60% say they feel that AI has harmful effects on their skills and learning, with one in four saying AI makes it too easy for them to find answers without having to do much work themselves.
Many students say they’re worried that AI tools encourage copying instead of creating work by themselves, and they also worry about the correctness of the information AI offers. In fact, fewer than half of students who took part in the survey say they can tell if AI content is correct, and many say they’d like their teachers to help them understand what information they can believe in. A lot of students are also not sure when they should use AI for their schoolwork; about half say they’re worried that other students are using AI, and that teachers don’t always know this.
However, the results aren’t all bad. Many students say that AI has helped them get new skills, such as getting better at understanding problems, and thinking of new ideas. One student said AI also helps him “think faster.”
Alexandra Tomescu from Oxford University Press said the results of the survey show that students have a mature understanding of how AI affects learning, in both good ways and bad.
32. What can we learn from the survey according to paragraph 2
A.All students are unhappy about using AI.
B.About 80% UK students use AI for schoolwork.
C.60% think it easy to find answers with AI.
D.The survey covers 2,000 students under 18.
33. What do students hope teachers do for them
A.Tell whether AI content is correct.
B.Decide when AI should be used.
C.recommend some useful AI tools.
D.Prevent other students using AI.
34. How does AI help students according to the text
A.Develop practical life skills.
B.Understand themselves better.
C.Improve their thinking ability.
D.Correct mistakes in homework.
35. What does the underlined word “mature” probably mean in the last paragraph
A.Narrow.
B.Clear.
C.Basic.
D.Simple.

Playing sports is a lot of fun. Getting hurt is not. ____36____
Wear protective equipment.
The equipment you wear depends on the sport you play. Helmets (头盔) are the most common protective equipment. They protect your head while you’re playing football, baseball, softball, and so on.
Warm up.
____37____ Doing some stretches (伸展) can get you prepared to hit the field. By warming up, you get yourself ready to play. Practicing a sport helps keep you safe, too.
Know the rules of the games.
Traffic lights help prevent crashes between many cars that run on the road together. This works because drivers know the rules and follow them—at least most of the time. ____38____ When players know the rules of the game, fewer injuries happen. For example, you know that in soccer you can’t come from behind, crash into a player’s legs, or steal the ball. It’s legal and safer to go after the ball rather than the player.
____39____
This is a really important one. If you love sports, you may want to get back in the games, even after an injury. But playing when you’re hurt is a bad idea. ____40____
Now you know how to prevent sports injuries. If you follow these rules, you can stay safer while you are playing sports.
A.Don’t play when you’re injured.
B.Don’t do too much exercise.
C.It’s the same with sports.
D.It can lead to an even worse injury.
E.It’s not a good idea to just go to the field and start playing.
F.You and the other players know what to expect from each other.
G.Take these steps to prevent injuries so you can stay in the game.

Li Xiang is a seventh grader who loves music. With a voice as clear and sweet as a nightingale’s (夜莺), he is a leading member of the school singing club. Recently, his school was going to hold a singing competition, and the whole class was excited. His class teacher, Mr. Yao, talked to the class and they decided to sing a chorus masterpiece at the competition, aiming to show the class’s unity and strength.
To make sure a perfect performance, Mr. Yao invited a skilled local musician to train the students. Li Xiang was delighted at the thought of the competition. He saw it as a good opportunity to show his musical talent to the whole school, eager to prove himself to his classmates and teacher.
At the first practice, things did not go as what Li Xiang had expected — he was too good to join the others. His voice was much more powerful than his classmates’, making the chorus sound unbalanced. The musician was not satisfied and Li Xiang felt bad. Mr. Yao saw everything and he came up to Li Xiang and comforted him, “Please remember, Li Xiang, singing a chorus is NOT one person’s job. Everyone has to work together to achieve a good result.” Li Xiang realized that his voice would not help if he failed to work well with others.
Li Xiang changed his way of singing.

Li Xiang changed his way of singing. He controlled his volume and adjusted his tone to match his classmates during every practice. Instead of standing out alone, he listened closely to voices around him and blended perfectly into the chorus. He also encouraged shy classmates to sing louder and helped them practice after class. Gradually, the whole chorus sounded balanced and harmonious, winning high praise from the musician.
At last, the Big Day came. When their class stepped onto the stage, Li Xiang kept his voice soft and coordinated with others. Their unified warm song touched every audience member deeply. They won first prize. Li Xiang fully understood that true beauty of chorus lies in teamwork rather than personal brilliance.
