Penguins: The Charming Birds of the Antarctic
Penguins are some of the most fascinating birds on Earth. These flightless birds mainly live in the cold regions of the Antarctic, where the icy landscapes and freezing waters are their homes.
Penguins have a unique appearance. They are black and white, with a round body that makes them look like they are wearing a tuxedo. This special coloring helps them blend in with the ocean when they swim, protecting them from predators. Their short, strong legs and webbed feet are perfect for swimming in the cold sea. They can swim very fast, using their wings like flippers.
Despite the cold climate, penguins live in large groups called colonies. They huddle together to keep warm during the harsh winters. Penguins are also great parents. Both male and female take turns to take care of their eggs and chicks. They feed their young with fish they catch from the ocean.

The Strait of Hormuz (霍尔木兹海峡) is a narrow and important sea channel. It lies between Iran (伊朗) and Oman (阿曼). The narrowest part is about 33 kilometers wide. It is the only sea way from the Persian Gulf (波斯湾) to the Indian Ocean, so it is very important for world trade.

13.文章第三段“When tensions rise, fewer ships will come here.”指出,近期经过海峡的船只减少是因为该地区的紧张局势加剧,即“Tensions in the area have risen.”。
14.文章第三段“There will be less oil and gas in the world, so energy prices will rise.”表明,如果通过的船只减少,会导致石油和天然气供应减少,从而使能源价格上升,即“Energy prices will become higher.”。
