形容词、副词的比较级和最高级
一、概念
类别 用法
比较级 “更……”,用于两者之间的比较,用来说明“前者比后者更……”
最高级 “最……的”,用于三个或三个以上的人或事物进行比较
She sings better than me.In fact,she sings the best in our class.
她比我唱得好。事实上,在我们班,她唱歌最好。
二、用法
1.变化规则
形容词、副词的比较级和最高级在形式上分为规则变化和不规则变化两种。
(1)规则变化
口诀 变化规则 例词
直 单音节词,通常直接加-er/-est tall—taller—tallest
去 以不发音的e结尾,加-r/-st nice—nicer—nicest
双 以重读闭音节结尾的单音节词,双写末尾的辅音字母,再加-er/-est big—bigger—biggest
改 以“辅音字母+y”结尾,改y为i,再加-er/-est easy—easier—easiest
加 多音节词和部分双音节词,前面加more/most important—more important—
most important
(2)不规则变化
原级 good/well many/much bad/badly/ill little old far
比较级 better more worse less older/elder farther/further
最高级 best most worst least oldest/eldest farthest/furthest
2.形容词、副词的比较级句型:
(1)A+谓语动词/系动词+形容词或副词比较级+than+B.
This boy is younger than me.这个男孩年纪比我小。
Lingling draws better than her brother.玲玲画得比她哥哥好。
【注意】在比较级前有时可加一些修饰语,如a little、much、a lot、still、even等,以示强调或加强语气。
This box is a little heavier than yours.这个箱子比你的要稍重一些。
This movie is much more interesting than that one.这部影片比那部有趣得多。
(2)A +谓语动词/系动词+the+形容词或副词最高级(+范围).
Of all the students in my class,she writes the most carefully.在我班里所有的学生中,她写得最仔细。
【注意】最高级前通常加the,后面接表示范围的短语。
