A group of young friends loved to go fishing in a calm little lake. They often spent whole afternoons there, laughing and enjoying the quiet water. But they were always surprised to see an old fisherman sitting by the nearby river, where the water moved fast and made loud noises.

Suppose that you have some free time to kill.Which one will you pick,an enjoyable short video to watch or an interesting 1,000-word article to read
Perhaps the video will be your first choice.Over the past few years, watching videos online has become a part of many people's daily lives. The number of people who patiently read long articles has been greatly cut down. Some people fear that videos will take the place of written texts one day.But in my opinion, this isn't going to happen.
In fact, videos can really help us learn new information more quickly. However, can they help us fully understand the ancient world Many historical stories were recorded only in written texts.Only by reading these texts can we truly and fully learn about ancient events(大事 )and the knowledge ancient people owned.
Short videos belong to “instant culture”.They come into and leave our minds like flying cars.We usually can't help looking for another video at once after finishing one.Yet can we truly remember and understand the contents( 内容 )of these videos When we read a long article patiently, we tend to focus on the contents. What's more, written texts allow us to use our imagination, whereas videos fail to do so.
In a word, videos might change the way people learn about the world and the way they make themselves happy, yet written texts will never be replaced. They are just like immortal ( 不朽的)stars shining brightly from ancient times all the way into the future.
41.How do people kill their free time according to Paragraph 2
42.Why can't people fully understand the ancient world through short videos
43.What will people do when they patiently read a long article
44.What's your opinion about long articles Write 30 words or more.

Dear Jack,
I'm very glad to receive your e-mail. Now I will talk about my understanding of "More Skills, Better Life"
In my opinion, we should learn to be independent because we are not children any more. We can't always depend on our parents, so it's necessary for us to learn how to take good care of ourselves. Besides, our parents are always busy with work, and we should help them with housework.
As for me, I have learned how to cook meals from my mother. She is very patient and good at cooking. Sometimes I also learn how to cook by watching cooking videos. I believe it is a great way to improve my cooking skills.
If we learn more basic life skills from now on, I believe all of us will lead a better and happier life in the future.
Best wishes to you!
Yours
Li Hui
