I once volunteered at our local city library for about six months. I went there every Saturday morning. My main jobs were to put books back on the right shelves and sometimes help people find the books they wanted. I chose to volunteer there because I really love reading and quiet places, and I want to do something useful to help others. The work made me feel calm and helpful—I enjoyed seeing everything tidy and knowing I made it easier for people to find books. Through this experience, I learnt to be more patient and careful, and I realized that even a small job can make a big difference to the community.
