Period 2 Listening and Speaking
【设计意图】
根据本节课是听说课，教材P2,P3和P7给出了4个不同的功能性对话材料，既有输入，也有输出，P7是对话训练，是输出型材料，每个材料前有文字和图片等多模态的背景资料。本节课把阅读课后的listening and thinking提前，与前三个听力材料进行了整合，以Registration, Favourite subjects, learning strategies为线索串联起来，每个听力前先预备一个问题，激活语言点，然后再听，把说与听有效结合。最后以Speaking作为反馈性练习，让学生以说的形式整合前面出现的language points. 为了便于操作，我们把Learning strategies后课本上一个活动的原有材料进行了改动。
【Teaching Objectives】
By the end of the class, the students will be able to:
1.Languageproficiency:
1)know the words and expressions related to relevant background;
2)use these words and expressions properly and fluently.
2.learning strategies:
1)learn actively and work in groups.
2)have less individual work and more teamwork
3.Thinking quality:
develop their positive thinking ability by joining in more class activities.

Step 1 Lead in

look at the opening page and ask

Get the class to answer freely.
Activity 2 Ask and answer
What did you experience at the beginning of senior high school
Get the class list all the answers: freshmen registration, opening ceremony, military training,…
Activity 3 Look and say
Present 3 pictures and tell what people in the pictures doing.
Then give 3 descriptions to match these 3 pictures.

Teacher can give the class a model. Then get them to give their learning strategies and the reasons.
I like taking notes when reading and listening to the teachers ,because I will know what I’ve learned. And I can revise them and check myself in time. I also make mind maps to make my knowledge logical and clear to remember.
