Students at Howards Grove Schools in the US worked with local companies to collect 6,645 boxes of cereal (谷物) in about one month for local food pantries (食品分发处). The number was far more than the students had expected. They really did something amazing!
Many students spent long hours after school organizing the donations. Leo, an 8th grader, described their effort as “tireless”. “We had people here until 11:30 p.m. last night,” Leo shared.
The cereal donation activity started at a time when local food services needed help. The donated cereal boxes will be shared among three food pantries. Each box includes a card with warm and encouraging messages for the families.
Seventh grader Kendra said, “They got a couple of meals for their family, but they also got a kind message that they can read every time they pick up a box.”

A Nigerian (尼日利亚) young lady whose Chinese name is Wang Qian has spent ten years living and studying in China. She now studies at Zhejiang Normal University. She fell in love with China when she was little and came here with a Confucius Institute scholarship. China has already become her second home.

Saihanba, located in the north of Hebei Province, became a green miracle (奇迹).
