Do you like eating vegetables Almost everybody knows that eating vegetables is good for us. But why do some people like them while others don’t A new study has found that other people’s likes and dislikes could be a reason. According to the research, people who eat vegetables but show a clear dislike for them can influence others.
People may make facial expressions when eating. How does it affect (影响) a person watching them A team of scientists in the UK did a study. They asked more than 200 young women to watch videos of other adults eating broccoli (西兰花). The people in the videos had different expressions while eating. They would smile, seem neutral (neither happy nor sad), or look disgusted (厌恶的). The study found that when people in the videos looked disgusted while eating broccoli, people watching them began to like broccoli less. The opposite was not true, however. When someone had a smile while eating broccoli, people watching them did not like broccoli more.
By watching others, humans learn which behaviors (行为) will be good for them. Scientists believe that people might avoid food that looks terrible. In this way, people can protect themselves from eating something bad or dangerous. The research focused only on adults, but the team believed that the results could also work for children. This means, if children see their parents not enjoying certain foods, including vegetables, they might not want to eat them either.
Helping children to try more vegetables is meaningful. “If children are learning about vegetables at school, it’s important to encourage this interest,” says Jones. Parents can listen to their children tell what they have learned and read the handouts they bring home from school. Parents and children can also read books together. Younger children can enjoy reading stories about vegetables with parents. Older children may enjoy searching through cookbooks with parents to find new dinner ideas to cook vegetables in a tasty way.
How do the behaviors of adults influence their children’s choices of food The team hopes to understand more about it. This could help find ways to encourage children to eat healthier food.
24.According to Paragraph 2, what is the result of the study
A.People may cook the food others like.
B.Children dislike eating certain vegetables.
C.People may not choose the food others dislike.
D.Young women are easily affected by other people.

A.They will study the safety of children’s food.
B.They will study the skills to produce healthy food.
C.They will study the influences of parents’ behaviors.
D.They will study the ways to understand children well.
26.Which of the following would be the best title for the passage

Zac and I are best friends because we both love football. Zac was taller and stronger than me. But my speed gave me an advantage in games. When we were 15, we were proud to join the Springtown Stars which was the best under-17 team in our area. There was another team called the Springtown Asteroids. They trained just as hard as us, but didn’t play in important matches very often.
One day, the coach put up the new season’s team list. My finger was shaking as I looked for my name. Zac’s name was on the list, but mine wasn’t. I said to myself, “There must be a mistake!” I felt heartbroken and couldn’t believe I had been left out. Being on the Asteroids made me feel like I was falling behind.
After joining the Asteroids, I was really angry. I kicked the ball hard and didn’t care when my teammates passed the ball to me. Every time Zac waved at me, I just turned around. I was so upset.
Everything changed during a Saturday match. The Stars were playing against Riverside United. I hid behind the stands and watched. They worked together so well. Everyone needs water, and every drop is important. On 22 March, World Water Day draws attention to the importance of water in our lives, the difficulties many people have getting clean water, and solutions to these problems.
Why do we need water
The human body is around 60% water, and we need to drink lots of water to be healthy. As well as needing clean water to drink, we need it for cooking, washing and brushing our teeth. Cleaning toilets also needs a lot of water. Farmers use water to make the plants grow. A lot of water is used to produce the clothes we wear. Do you know that it takes about 2,700 liters of water to make one T-shirt
Does everyone have enough water
We all need water to stay alive, but more than two billion people around the world live without safe water in their homes. Many of them live in the countryside or in places where there is a war. Some people live in the desert and it is very hot, so it is very difficult for them to get water. What are the consequences (后果)
If we drink dirty water, we will become ill. In some countries, women and children walk many kilometers every day to get water, and sometimes the water isn’t even clean! If children spend most of their day walking to get water, they can’t go to school, so they don’t learn how to read or write and don’t get an education.
What happens on World Water Day
In 1992, the United Nations decided to make a special day for water, and World Water Day has been celebrated on 22 March every year since 1993. On this day, many countries hold events to educate people about the problems of dirty water and to try to find solutions to provide everyone around the world with clean water. A lot of charities (慈善机构) hold activities for World Water Day. People make posters to tell the importance of saving water. They also sell their old books to raise money. All the money helps buy taps and toilets and provide clean water to as many people as possible around the world. So, this World Water Day, what will you do
34.When is World Water Day
35.How much water does it take to make a T-shirt
36.What will happen if you drink dirty water
