定义
置于动词、介词等词性后面，在句子中起宾语作用的从句叫做宾语从句。

that引导的宾语从句
表示陈述一件事实，主句谓语动词表确定，非疑问；
that在句中无任何意义，不充当句子成分，所以常省略。

whether/if引导的宾语从句
whether与if通常可以互换，且常跟在ask、know、
find out、wonder、decide、see、doubt、unsure、
uncertain等之后引导宾语从句，引出两个或以上的可
能性之一；
whether/if在从句中也不充当任何成分，只起连接作用.
I wonder if /whether you could help me.
I want to know if /whether you read English books outside class.

以下情况只能用 whether：
1. 在介词后：
We talked about whether to go.
2. 后直接接“or not”时：
I don’t know whether or not he agrees.
3. 与不定式连用时：
She wondered whether to tell him.
其他情况两者常可互换。

即：引导词 + 主语 + 谓语 + 其他
1. that（陈述句变宾从）
原句：He likes apples.
宾从：I know (that) he likes apples.（主在前，谓在后，不变语序）
2. if/whether（一般疑问句变宾从，是否）
原疑问：Does she live here （疑问语序：助动词提前）
宾从：I ask if she lives here.（去助does，主放前，谓变三单）
一般情况下，从句的时态要与主句的时态保持一致。
若主句是一般现在时，从句根据具体情况选用合适的时态。(主现从不限)
He asks whether/if I need help.
他问我是否需要帮助。
若主句为一般过去时，从句一般用相应的过去的某种时态。(主过从过)
He said that he had seen it.
他说他已经看了。
时态
若从句表客观真理、永恒事实，无论主句是什么时态，从句用一般现在时。(真理永一现)
