Amelia Earhart is one of the most inspiring female pilots in American history. Born on July 24, 1897, in Kansas, USA, she was a brave and independent girl who never accepted the traditional limits for women in her time.
When World War I broke out, Amelia worked as a volunteer nurse. During this period, she often watched planes take off and land at a nearby airfield. These experiences planted a deep love for flying in her heart. In 1921, she started to take flying lessons. Though learning to fly was hard and expensive, she never gave up. Six months later, she bought her own small plane and began her flying career.
Amelia achieved many amazing records in aviation. In 1922, she set a new world altitude record for female pilots. In 1932, she became the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean. This great flight made her famous all over the world. She also wrote books about her flying experiences and encouraged more women to pursue their dreams bravely.
In 1937, Amelia decided to realize her biggest dream: flying around the world. She started her global flight with her partner. Everything went well at first. However, on July 2, while flying over the vast Pacific Ocean, her plane lost contact with the base. Search teams tried their best to look for her, but they found nothing.
