范文 1(主题:学习做风筝)
What I Got in My First Year of Middle School
Time flies. One year passed, and I got a lot in many aspects. Here is one of them.
I learned how to make a Chinese kite. Our school had a folk art activity last term. My grandfather is good at
making kites, so he taught me at home. We used bamboo sticks, paper and glue. First, we made the shape with
sticks. Then we glued the paper onto it. Finally, I painted a bird on the paper. It looked very nice. On the weekend,
I flew it in the park. It went up high into the sky! Many children watched and said it was cool.
This activity helped me understand that folk art is fun and meaningful. I want to learn more about Chinese
culture in the future.
范文 2(主题:在课堂上勇敢发言)
What I Got in My First Year of Middle School
Time flies. One year passed, and I got a lot in many aspects. Here is one of them.
I became more confident in class. Before, I was very shy and never put up my hand. I was afraid to make
mistakes. One day, our English teacher asked a question and I knew the answer. I felt nervous, but I told mysel f
“just try”. So I raised my hand and answered it. The teacher smiled and said “Good job!” All my classmates looked
at me and cheered. From that day on, I answered more questions in class.
Now I am not afraid to speak in front of others. I feel more confident and happier. I learned that being
confident is the key to doing things well.
范文 3(主题:去北京旅行)
What I Got in My First Year of Middle School
Time flies. One year passed, and I got a lot in many aspects. Here is one of them.
I went on a trip to Beijing with my parents during the winter holiday and learned a lot. First of all, we visited
the Palace Museum and saw many old buildings and treasures. I was amazed by the beautiful colours and designs.
Next, we climbed the Great Wall. It was very long and hard to climb, but we kept walking and took many photos
there. The view from the top was wonderful. After that, we tried Beijing duck. It was so delicious that I still
remember its wonderful taste now.
This trip taught me a lot about Chinese history and culture. I felt proud of our great country. I also enjoyed the
time with my family. I hope to visit more places in China in the future.七年级英语试卷

①13-year-old Lucy sits in her yard, putting her handmade crafts on the table, such as baskets and bags. They
are made from waste (废品), such as old boxes or other second-hand things. She wants to sell the handmade crafts
to make her neighbourhood greener.
②This plan dates from two years ago. Then there was waste everywhere in her neighborhood. Lucy felt very
sorry. One day, Lucy noticed some kids selling orange juice at the park and many people stopped to buy it.
Suddenly a creative idea came into her mind. She could not just clean up the waste — she could change it into
handmade crafts! “Mom, let us make handmade crafts and sell them to buy trees for our neighbourhood!” she said.
③With her mom’s help, Lucy started collecting some second-hand things around her house and
neighborhood. After school, she cleaned them and changed them into baskets, bags, and small toys. She put her
works on show in the yard and waited for buyers daily.
④At first, no one came. She felt down, but she didn’t give up. She made her crafts more colourful and put up
a small card: “Help us plant trees — buy a craft!” Soon, a kind woman bought a bag, saying it was perfect for
shopping. After that, more people came to buy the handmade crafts. In a month, she was happy to raise $150 and
plant 30 trees around the neighbourhood.
⑤Seeing her neighbourhood become greener, Lucy felt very proud. Soon, her friends noticed what she did
and wanted to join her. Lucy started teaching them how to make crafts after school. Together, they sold their
handmade crafts every month to raise money for other green plans.

①On November 11, a famous rider got badly hurt when his horse suddenly fell during a horse race in Hong
Kong. Lots of people around there were very surprised. The rider was safe, but the horse was not lucky. It was
badly hurt and could not get well again. So animal doctors ended its life.
②A horse race can bring trouble to both the riders and horses. But things are different for them. The rider can
choose to take part in this kind of sport or not, but horses can not speak for themselves. They have no chance to
choose.

Protection, about 180,000 bulls die in bullfights (斗牛) around the world every year. Also, more than 800 lions lose
their lives in South Africa because of the races. And many dogs get hurt in other sports.

things for us. For example, guide dogs help people who can’t see to walk safely on the streets. Small cats help
people feel less lonely or worried. In short, animals give us love and want nothing back.

leave animals out of them. Remember, animals are living things, not tools for fun. We should think about how to
protect them.
