Last summer, I had a chance to visit the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park (张掖丹霞国家地质公园) in Gansu Province. It is part of the ancient Silk Road. My father, a history teacher, has always been interested in the Silk Road, so he was very excited about this trip.
