On May 8th, our class started a special project—creating a flower wall and building a new flower bed in the school garden. We divided into two teams—girls and boys.
First, we planned. Girls drew the design. Boys made a list of the flowers and tools we needed. To build the flower bed, stronger boys cleared stones and grass. After digging the soil, they added some rich soil. Then girls carefully planted small trees and flowers. After planting them well, two or three students watered them.
For the flower wall, we passed the pots from student to student in a human chain, talking and laughing as we worked. Though labor-intensive, it was enjoyable.
Finally, we enjoyed our beautiful flower wall and neat (整洁的) flower bed, feeling happy. By working as a team and helping each other, we did a great job—making our school more beautiful!

In the famous book Lord of the Flies by William Golding, a group of boys find themselves stranded on a deserted island after their plane crashes (撞击).
