英语的 26 个字母，按发音性质分为元音字母和辅音字母两大类，它们是构成英语语音的基础单位。
元音字母：是构成音节的核心，每个英语单词的音节都必须包含元音（y 有时可作半元音，辅助构成音节）。
辅音字母：辅助元音构成音节，负责区分单词的读音。

wake up：
（1）醒来（表示自行醒来）
I wake up at seven every morning.我每天早上七点醒来。
（2）叫醒
为“动词+副词”结构，名词作宾语时，位于 wake 与 up 之间或 up 之后都可以，人称代词作宾语时必须位于 wake 与 up 之间。
Please wake your brother up. = Please wake up your brother.请叫醒你弟弟。
I will wake you up tomorrow. 我明天会叫醒你。
