How do you start a conversation when you first meet someone in the UK When meeting in the morning, you can say “Good morning!” and when meeting in the afternoon or evening, you can say “Good afternoon!” or “Good evening!”
If you want to ask someone about their information, you can use “How are you ” When you answer, simply say “Fine, thank you.” Most of the time, “How are you ” is only a greeting. And “Hi” or “Hello” is more common for a greeting.
