A CHOKING FIRST AID
Choking (噎住) on food can be dangerous sometimes. We can use the Heimlich maneuver (海姆立克急救法) to help them. It is easy to learn.
For adults and kids over 1 year old:
1. Stand behind the person. Put your arms around his waist (腰).
2. Make a fist (拳) with one hand. Put it a little higher than his navel (肚脐).
3. Hold the fist with the other hand. Pull the fist inward (向内地) and upward quickly.
4. Do this many times until the food comes out.
Please remember:
1. Call 120 first before you help.
2. This way works for adults and kids older than one year. Do not use it for babies under 1 year.
3. If the person can talk, cough or breathe, don’t do this.

Mr. Ji is a fruit seller from Yangxian, Shaanxi. During the May Day holiday, he drove to Xianfeng, Enshi, Hubei with thousands of apples for sale. He suddenly fell ill and was sent to the hospital. Zhang Xue has become the pride of the nation with his strong will and deep love for motor racing.
