掌握与校园生活相关的词汇、句型，读懂介绍英国校园生活的文章，能口头、书面对比中英校园生活差异。
了解英国校园生活特色，对比中英校园文化异同，拓宽国际视野，尊重不同的教育模式。
借助思维导图梳理文本信息，学会分析、归纳、对比信息，提升逻辑思维与思辨能力。
掌握阅读略读、寻读技巧；掌握制作校园宣传手册的完整流程，提升小组合作、信息搜集与实践创作能力。

教学重点
梳理文章结构，获取英国校园生活各维度信息，准确对比中英校园生活的差异。
掌握描述校园生活的常用表达，完成My dream school主题短文写作。
熟记制作校园宣传手册的三大步骤与相关要求
教学难点
运用丰富句式有条理地口头、书面阐述中英校园生活差异。
结合多个维度、有理有据地完成梦想校园写作，做到语句通顺、逻辑清晰。
小组合作中合理分工，规范使用英文、搭配图片完成美观且内容完整的校园手册。
四、教学方法
1. 情景教学法：以校园生活、海外求学为话题创设交流情景，激发学生表达欲望，快速融入课堂。
2. 讲授法：讲解文章结构、重点句型、写作技巧以及手册制作规范与要求。
3. 任务型语言教学法：设置预测文本、信息检索、对比归纳、阅读理解、短文写作、小组实践等阶梯式任务，层层推进学习内容。
4. 小组合作法：开展小组讨论、分工创作活动，培养学生协作交流能力。
五、教学准备
1. 教师准备：课文原文、思维导图模板、阅读理解练习题、写作范文、校园手册制作范例、课堂任务单。
2. 学生准备：预习课文生词；提前回忆自身校园生活特点；准备笔记本用于记录知识点。

Extended reading
Step Ⅰ Lead-in
Activity 1: Free talk
Raise two questions for students to discuss:
What’s your favorite part of our school life
Have you ever imagined studying abroad
Invite several students to share their ideas.
Present a sample answer for reference.

Step Ⅱ Pre-reading
Activity 1: Predict the content
Show the title School life in the UK.
Ask students: According to the title, what may the passage talk about
Guide students to guess the main content briefly.

Step Ⅲ While-reading
Activity 1: Analyze the structure of the passage
Divide the whole text into three parts together:
Beginning: Para. 1 (Introduction to the school life in the UK)
Body: Paras. 2–6 (Different aspects of the school life in the UK)
Ending: Para. 7 (Conclusion)
Let students mark the structure on their textbooks.

Activity 2: Retrieve information with the mind map
Show the mind map with seven aspects: Timetable, Subjects, Class size, Class discussion, Homework, School lunch, Clubs.
Ask students to read the passage carefully and find out detailed information about School life in the UK.
Check answers and sort out key points one by one.

Activity 3: Compare school life in China and the UK
Present the information of School life in China corresponding to the seven aspects.
Let students read and compare the differences in groups.
Teacher summarize the main differences together.

Activity 4: Answer comprehension questions
Present two questions and let students discuss and answer:
Compared with Chinese schooling, what’s one biggest difference of British school life according to the text
Why did the writer find class discussion a big challenge in Britain
Call students to give answers, then check and standardize the answers.

Step Ⅳ Post-reading
Activity 1: Writing task: My dream school
State the writing requirements clearly:
Word count: About 80 words.
Introduce the dream school from at least three aspects.
Explain your reasons.
Show the sample writing and analyze its structure and useful expressions.
Students finish the short writing independently.

Activity 1: Present the theme and general steps
Tell students the project theme: Making a booklet about your school.
Show three core steps of making a booklet:
Step 1: How to nail down a topic
Step 2: How to get information
Step 3: How to make a booklet

Step Ⅱ Learn Step 1: Nail down a topic
Activity 1: Discuss and choose topics in groups
List different aspects about the school for students to refer to: lessons, teachers, school history, school events, clubs, buildings, library, labs etc.
Organize the whole class to discuss, then divide students into groups.
Each group picks one aspect as their research topic.

Step Ⅲ Learn Step 2: Get information
Activity 1: Learn ways to collect information
Introduce two main ways to get information:
Visit the school website to search for related content.
Interview teachers. Learn to use general questions first, then specific questions.
Give example questions of interview for students to learn.

Step Ⅳ Learn Step 3: Make a booklet
Activity 1: Learn production requirements and tips
Explain the basic materials: Words + relevant pictures (take photos or download pictures).
Show key tips for making a booklet:
Use concise and accurate English expressions.
Match texts with clear, attractive and relevant pictures.
Arrange content neatly and design unique page layouts.
Show the sample booklet for reference.

Activity 2: Group work: Start to prepare the booklet
Each group discuss the layout, content, pictures and work division.
Students start preliminary preparation for the booklet.

Activity 1: Booklet presentation
Invite each group to show their draft booklets and make a simple introduction. Teacher gives brief comments.

Activity 1: Review key knowledge
Review the differences between school life in China and the UK.
Recap the key points of writing My dream school.

Write three short paragraphs to recount the differences between school life in China and the UK.

九、教学反思
本节课分为拓展阅读和综合实践两大板块，阅读部分以思维导图、对比分析、问答练习为主，由浅入深，大部分学生能够快速梳理出中英校园生活的差异，阅读任务完成度较高。结合生活话题的写作任务，学生参与积极性强，基本都能按照要求从多个角度完成短文。但教学中仍存在不足：
1. 课堂上针对长难句的讲解偏少，部分基础薄弱学生理解文本仍有困难；
2.访谈句式、手册实用句型的操练时间不足；写作环节缺少充分的互评时间。
